Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was trying to swap out seats from 2000 sport seats into my 2002 c4s. The sport seats have one electrical connector which will attach to sport seat. The problem is the 4S seat has 3 other electrical connectors. Can all the electrical from the 4s (picture) seat be swapped to sport seat? The sport seat has none of this stuff.

POST 2Original post

All that extra stuff is the memory features. There is a larger red wire that needs to be pinned into that single connector. Its there but its in one of those other connectors. Look at the passenger side wiring and copy it. If u dont re-pin u will not have any of the power functions. If i get a chance i will take a pic of my set up tonight. I moved the entire memeory harness into the gt3 harness and can show u both plugs. I ran an additional wire back to the fuse panel ao both plugs have the heavy power wire

POST 3Original post

Problem isn’t that you are swapping from standard seats to sport seats…the problem is that you are swapping from manual to power seats. There are a couple of threads that detail how to solder the power leads in the seat controls to do this. I don’t have them handy but they are out there if you do some searching on the site.

Thanks everyone. I will take a look again with your info.

POST 6Original post

The good news is u r swaping from memory seats to standards so thats much easier. If u want to retain the memory features so u can revert back all u have to do is tap into the large red wire from the black plug on the memory module harness and pin it into the seat belt plug thats the same as the single plug on the passenger side of your car. I can probably de-pin the wire from the harness i have and send it to u if u need. In my car i have the large red in both plugs because of the harness swap. I ran the large red back to my fuse box. See pics.
