Both are full electric and the seats install on the rails fine, I also purchased the 997 plug-in harness to connect the wiring in a clean manner.

I do have an option to utilize a full manual 997 seat, but now i feel it's best to just go back to 996 seats and call it a day, All this said, i am now searching for a clean pair of 996 GT3 sports seats.

i attempted to swap my 996 seats for 997 seats. Both are full electric and the seats install on the rails fine, I also purchased the 997 plug-in harness to connect the wiring in a clean manner. However, ran into issues with the driver's seat. Turns out, the only full electric 997 seat that will work is the earlier 997,1 seat. Unfortunately, the 997.2 driver's seat comes with a module that does not interface with the 996. We initially thought the module was bad so replaced it with another, but then realized that wasn't the issue at all. Now, i need to either buy a 997.1 seat or abandoned the project altogether. I do have an option to utilize a full manual 997 seat, but now i feel it's best to just go back to 996 seats and call it a day, All this said, i am now searching for a clean pair of 996 GT3 sports seats. Oh, and now i have two pairs of seats (996 and 997) and a module if anyone wants to make me an offer.

Hi Rob, Can you share the part information for the 997-side harness to connect the seats without cutting wires? I've been trying to find the connectors for my car for ages and have been unable to figure out what the part numbers are or how to order them.

Unfortunately, the only way is by cutting the wires and wiring in the new 997 harness. No other way around that i am aware of. Not that big of a deal. Just make sure you use a 997.1 seat that does not have a module.
