Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I saw the ones listed on ebay that come from germany, but figured before I drop the money would see if any used ones are out there.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

anybody have a hard top hoist they are no longer using? it is used to store the cabrio hardtop and to help install it? just installed my hardtop and realized it would be a much easier process if I did not have to bug my wife to help... also would make it easier to take off on the nice days that come up in the winter months. I saw the ones listed on ebay that come from germany, but figured before I drop the money would see if any used ones are out there.

POST 2Original post

There are several DIYs around for building one. Here is one that I found. (I didn't build it)

POST 3Original post

Hand winch from HF and pulley from Amazon, hardtop stores out of the way at garage rafters. After Koni strut install will lower and put on our 911 for Los Angeles winter.

POST 4Original post

I did the same thing earlier this year, trolling for a hoist; never found one. Ended up springing for the German one and it really is nice, with rubber protection in all the right places. Turns it into a very save, one man job. Doing it with another person? There's always the issue of do they care about being careful to prevent scratches like you do? The top is 75lbs, and for a gal, that's a lot of weight...

POST 5Original post

What is a Los Angeles winter? A Boston summer?

It can rain a lot. Well our 996 is gorgeous with the hardtop.
