I have searched and searched and have not quite found my problem. Fill the tank without any problem. Long drive until tank falls to half level. Stop at idle to unload luggage and the P0446 code comes in. I reset it and drive without it coming back in until I fill the tank and drive it back down to half. I ordered a new cap since its 18 years old but have not gone any farther yet. Any ideas? 02, 996 Cab.

I can't remember but I think that was the same code I had and a new gas cap cured it. I could see fine cracks on the seal of my gas cap that I assume was original.

Just inspected the cap. Yes the o-ring is cracked in multiple locations so hopefully the new cap does the trick. Should arrive shortly.
