I have thought at some time to buy some used rims for my 99 C4 996 for winter tires.

I have thought at some time to buy some used rims for my 99 C4 996 for winter tires. I see my rims are listed by Porsche as 7.5Jx18 ET50 front with 225/40 ZR18 tires and 10Jx18 ET65 rear with 265/35 ZR18 tires.
If I see 996/997/even 991 rims, how do I know they are the "correct" bolt pattern/spacing and will fit in the wheel housing?

The hole spacing is the same for all of those generations and are all compatible. Just make sure the offsts (ET#) is close. I am back in Honolulu with my 911S. My 996 is in Colorado and don't plan on returning until New Years (we'll see with Covid).
price and shipping distance? assume solid spoke are less expensive. what are the condition of the rims? curb rash, etc.
not something I am in immediate need as we have a Subaru Outback for real snow.

It's a good idea to have/use "winter wheels" (with winter tires) even if you're driving in snow per se'. Especially in Colorado, you could always get caught in a quick snow squall even if it wasn't snowing when you left. Also, summer/warm weather tires are no good once the temps drop below 35 degrees or so... Good luck
Winter rims (10x18 et47) for 03 4s are basically impossible to find. Last winter i stretched winter 265s on the rear stock 11x18 et45. It worked but looked stupid. This winter i'm gonna utilize an extra set of 19in rims i got with a 997.2 4s and go wider
These are the solid spoke...
I bought these quite a few years back for winter tires but ended up making car pretty much track only...so never used. They are used and it does look like the PO painted the rears with rattle can. No curb rash to speak of but fronts have some scratches....as seen in pictures. Perfect for winter tires which was why I bought them...i would take $600 but shipping is likely around $200.
10x18 et47 would be 996 Wide-Body fitment. 10x18 et 63-65 are non-Turbo, Narrow-Body fitment, which the OP is needing, and are readily available here and all over the interwebs. The C4 was still a NB car in 1999.
