Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm using screw clamps at the moment but I had the original single clamps delivered from Porsche.
Leading evidence: 'Use screw clamps at the moment' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace being really careful not' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I used some cutters to lop the top off and then peeled off the top layer and slid the bottom layer off.

Took about 20min to change being really careful not to break the new one.

You will need a couple hose clamps to replace the factory (single use clamps).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well i started pissing coolant all over my engine bay and much to my surprise, the hose in the picture (the one running down) had rubbed against the pulley and torn.
i can't see how far down it runs and am not in the mood to start repairing it right now so i didn't check to see how far dow nthe hose runs. does anyone know if the engine will have to be removed to get to the other end, or just the airbox?
Omar, I had to replace the lower hose recently. It was easy until I broke the plastic piece that attaches to the power steering pump. It is very fragile. You will need a couple hose clamps to replace the factory (single use clamps). The part was cheap from Sunset, but required two tries before I got the right part. Good luck.
thanks.
i take this as a sign...God is telling me it was time for a coolant flush anyhow....or he's smiting me for skipping morning prayers...eitherway..this weekend will suck.
part was on backorder so it'll be here next week or later this week. glad to know it's only a half an hr's job mark.
the parts guy at the dealer gave me this weird look when i said coolant was comming out of the line lol
Does anyone have a part number for this? I had the same plastic piece break tonight and now my engine is covered in coolant. Do I just replace the plastic piece or do I need to do anything with the hoses as well. Thanks.
Yeah, I barely nudged the hose and it snapped off. I thought the hose clamp failed and it had slipped off. Then after the coolant stopped coming out I realized that it was a plastic piece that had broken. Part Number anyone?
Thanks for the info. Actually getting the piece out of the hose was easy. Just screwed in a screw and pulled, and out it came. I hate calling the parts dept. saying "Yeah, it's al little hose that runs from here to here". Because you know when you get there, it's going to be the wrong part. Anyhow, thanks again for the help.
the part number is 996 106 226 52. The A in front of a part number in PET means that it's been undated and the new part is usually one number higher than the last.
Hi, how do i remove the single use clamps?
I have seen people upgrade to metal connectors such as Edelmann 750400 and the one i am going for is Husky Brass connector from Home Depot ... Model # HDA40700AV
Or use a screwdriver to pry the ear of the clamp and spread it a bit. Once spread, the clamp will lose its tension and will be easy to remove. The stainless steel clamp can be difficult to cut.
Thanks guys. I used some cutters to lop the top off and then peeled off the top layer and slid the bottom layer off. I'm using screw clamps at the moment but I had the original single clamps delivered from Porsche. Now the reverse question, how do I clamp it on? I might stop by dealer and ask them.
