Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I recently purchased a 2000 Porsche 911 Carerra Cabriolet. I've discovered a couple of issues with it and was wondering if anyone new of a good repair person/shop that could work on the car. I'm concerned about the cost of taking it to the dealer. Any help will be appreciated.

European Performance on Hillsborough. They know 996s. Do know that they will provide you with a detailed list of everything they think the car needs... But they are just being honest/thorough, and will readily help you understand what is critical and what can wait. Tell Tolga I sent you.

Dave - Bring your new ride out to our weekly Saturday morning PCA coffee. Starts around 8 at Jason's in Briar Creek, across the street from Barnes and Noble. Good group. Low key. We're pretty much gone by 10.

User marky522 is one of the mechanics there at Leith, and a stellar guy. The dealership can be expensive, but Leith doesn't fall into the stealership category. In Durham, there is a great indie shop that does more 80s Porsches, but is good with 996s too. It's called the Digital Chassis.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone for the information. It is much appreciated. I'll definitely make one of the upcoming Saturday morning coffees.
