Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'ac drain line' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'ac drain line' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check burned wires or a fried dme component' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

In the garage drying out now, but wondering if it was the roof drains or the battery drains.

Suggestion
I have to pull the drivers seat to check for burned wires or a fried DME component.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had other plans for the next few days but I need to get this fixed ASAP!
If it's not one thing it's another...
Water under passenger carpet. Mostly in the rear.
Can the carpets be lifted enough without removing the seats?
Update!
It was my AC drain line. The rubber elbow no longer has a tight fit to the hard drain line.
That's what I would think. but it looks like the sunroof drain is on the drivers side in the book, so I'll have to dig into it when I have time. I had other plans for the next few days but I need to get this fixed ASAP!
That is a bummer....is it a coupe or convertible? Let us know how you fix it. I often consider what I would do on such a situation if it's coupe. I would xpel the sun roof seams until I had time to tear the insides apart to get at the drain lines.
Either way good luck!
That's a great idea. I'm just not sure if it's the sun roof, rear quarter window or rear window yet. I can't see a water trail. I'll have time the next to days to look deeper.
Hey Bill, you really can't do much with the seat still in for the rear carpet area. It's only 4 bolts to hold the seat in. Just remove the passenger seat, loosen the carpet from the door sill area ect. , then lift it up at least a foot or so and put a fan on blowing air at the underside of the carpet, it will be dry the next day.
As far as the source for the water, if not the front battery area drain (which would also have the front area wet), then the sunroof drains, there are 4 drain tubes, one on each corner.
As soon as my back pain subsides I'll be able to get on it, been a rough week.
Do I need to disconnect the battery to remove the seats? Also can I drive without the passenger seat if needed or will this throw a seatbelt code?
This may be a good time for me to see if the seat backs can be swapped from side to side.
You will throw a seat belt code if you drive the car or turn on the ignition with the seat out. If you don't turn on the ignition, the code will not set.
If you have a Durametric, erasing the code is no problem.
.Had an appointment with my massage therapist and am feeling much better! Unfortunately it is raining, so I taped off the sunroof (thinking that was the culprit) but got more water on the passenger front...
Yah, but I got up in the middle of the night, turned the wrong way and re-tweaked my back. Merry Christmas!
And to top it off, we're under a Flash Flood Warning with wind gusts up to 50mph...
20" of rain in 24hrs! Water rushing through my carport all night...
I hope you never have to go through this process! Under the carpets are 2" blocks of absorbing rubber padding that hold water. The carpets are moulded so the surrounding trim/center console needs to be removed to really get at it.
Bill, your Googlefoo is stronger than mine so you've likely found these images, but just in case.

Hey Bill, did you ever get this corrected? I have the same thing on the driver's side...fortunately my driveway is at 30, so the moisture pooled in the rear seat foot well. In the garage drying out now, but wondering if it was the roof drains or the battery drains. No evidence of moisture up front, so wondering if it is the rear drain tube and best way to get to it. PTech3 - if you read this, any ideas?
Turned out to be the AC drain line. There's a 90* rubber elbow that swelled and fit's loosely on the hardline.
You need to get yours fixed ASAP as the drivers seat has the expensive electronics under it.
I had water in driver's seat rear and it ruined my ECU. I had to send the key ecu and immobilizer to ECU DRs to repair and reprogram on my Turbo. The water must of been there a while as there was corrosion on the circuits. I also got the waterproof box from them you know just in case it happens again. The seat is easy to remove. I lifted and opened the carpet everywhere COuld not believe how much water was in there. CHECK THOSE DRAINS FOLKS!!
