One thing that you may want to consider - I’m running Bridgestone RE981 AS All-Season tires in stock sizes on my C2, which also has 18” Sport Classic II wheels.

Hi All,
A 2003 C2 will be joining my Turbo.
The car will be on winter duty so I'm looking for snows. I have two questions for the braintrust:
The car is on Sport Classic II's and currently wears 285/30/18 rears and 225/40/18 fronts; the fronts are pretty easy for snows, but the rears - not so much. Does anybody run snows on these stock wheels? If so, what sizes have you had success with?
Does anybody have a great set of snows or a full wheel/tire setup for sale?
Looking forward to getting to know the C2. A spectacularly clean narrowbody car is such a classic, authentic Porsche. Really happy to be here! Before I get accosted, my Turbo (996 as well
) is entirely too nice, too low, and too loud to daily during the winter.

PS also need a short shifter. What's the best for a 996.2 these days?
check your owners manual. my 03 c4s needs different rear rims for winter tires vs summer tires, not sure if same with c2. i'm in the philly area and went with pirelli sottozero 3 tires, just installed this past saturday.
I'll take a look at the manual when I get the car, but a little surprised more people here haven't chimed in with what works! Where did you get your tires?
I ordered tires through Hotrides in Morrisville PA. Took several weeks. Stretched 265s on rear but now shopping for correct winter rim, 18x10 vs 18x11. Good luck
Thanks - I might give them a call Thursday. Fortunately my car is a narrow body with 18x8F and 18x10R. So thinking I can duplicate your order given the same profile (40F 30R).
Next to my Turbo, which it will be joining at home shortly!
225/40/18 265/35/18 or 235/40/18 275/35/18 both work. Just depends on whats available. It's hard to match same brand for all 4 so I match the fronts to each other and rears to each other
235 is front. Some people run my setup (225 front and 265 rear), others I�ve read go slightly larger (235 front and 275 rear). Availability is key, but definitely check manual. Full set of Pirelli about a grand all in.
One thing that you may want to consider - I’m running Bridgestone RE981 AS All-Season tires in stock sizes on my C2, which also has 18” Sport Classic II wheels. While not a dedicated winter tire, I did get caught in a fresh 4” snowfall last winter and it did surprisingly well. Since I don’t track the car, the all-seasons are fine for me year around.

Sorry, just saw this string.
I have a set of stock 996/986 17's with good Conti snows available. Better compliance than the 18's. From my '04 C2.
Snow performance was incredible.
Ran two winters in Wisconsin. Over half tread left for sure. Can give more details when home tonight.
Maybe a bit $ to ship?
