Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been reading all the posts about the orange cap and sounds simple and fun. (And who wouldn't want more growl for free or close to it?) Does anyone have an extra they can spare? I too did a search for Niagra and couldn't find anything. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I'm clueless...how much would an orange cap cost if you bought a new one at retail?

POST 5Original post

Probably not much, but few people (including me) seem to know where they can be purchased in a lot of one. I've got one around here someplace...maybe I'll try putting it in this weekend.

POST 6Original post

I thought it had been decided that Mod was a definite NO. eg.: backfires and possible dirt / air leak. ???

POST 7Original post

you can use a Gillette cap instead..... I know Ed has done it and works great.

POST 9Original post

Orange cap goes in the air box. It covers the small tube opening to the air box which is there "to quite" the air in take.

Thanks Steve.... needed a change.

POST 12Original post

Entire kit by schnell is 109.00. It has the silicone tube and the block off cap for the hemholtz resonator. It does nothing... sound not noticible and performance, I don't think it does much. Want better sound for less look at Darin Fister's mufflers. The mufflers are just a bit more and it sounds great.

POST 13Original post

+1 on using the Gillette cap. That is, the cap off from a can of Gillette shave cream. Sounds a bit louder but can't say I felt any difference in the drive.

+1 The only better one is Veloce Raptor's.
