Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It seems that my '99 cab top is not closing evenly on the left and right sides. The front of the left lip of the top is closer to the top of the windshield than on the right side. I have attached two photos to show what I mean. The first photo is from inside on the left side at the point where the top meets the top of the windshield and you can see the small distance between the two red arrows. On the right side you can see a larger distance between the two arrows where more hook is exposed. As you can see the right side has much more of the hook exposed. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix/adjust this? I'm not sure the right side hook is engaging properly. Thx.

POST 2Original post

In your bottom photo you can see a clip out part and in side there are two screws. Check they are both tight. My two cents is:- if the top is not rattling, no slack showing on the hood on that side, I would leave as is.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. I will check out the screws. Unfortunately there is a rattle from that side and a bit of a gap on the outside as well.

POST 4Original post

Don't over tighten those screws the captive nuts in the header are made out of plaster. At least that is about how strong they are.
