Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I thought I would share some new pics of my cars. Washed and one coat of Zaino. Check out the new PlastiDip wheels on my F30. Cool stuff. I'm pretty pressed with the outcome for $15 and 1hr of my time .

POST 2Original post

Nice ! Your cab is gorgeous. On the BMW you did a gunmetal grey, Flat or shiny ? Looks really nice.

Thanks Seeu911. I used the flat black that's all my local Home Depot had. I think PlastiDip does sell a clear coat that will give a glossy finish. I like the flat. It was super easy. Really good wheel cleaning is key. I'm thrilled how well it came out. I've always wanted to try black wheels, but never wanted to spend the money. On the other hand, my 4S needs wheel refinishing. I want to retain the oem look. It's going to cost me $500. I'm getting them done next week. I'll report back. I'm also ordering Arctic Silver bumperettes this week to finish her off. For now...

The plasti-dip does look good. Think I may try it on my 328iT OEM winter wheels.

POST 5Original post

My DD/winter car needs it’s wheels refurbing as the previous owner seemed to have an inability to park close to a curb without grinding the wheels. Plasti dipping seems a cheap way to tidy them up vs having the tires removed and powder coating. How durable is Plasti dip on wheels? Or is it better just to paint them the right color? I plasti dipped the tailpipes on the 40th and they look pretty good now and match my black wheels 

My wheels had bad curb rash, so I figured that I had nothing to lose. 15 months in and the Plasti-dip still looks like day 1. No peeling, chips, fading, etc.
