I am looking for someone willing to do a Durametric and Mano check on my 996.

I considered it but I dont have a Windows PC and it doesn't seems to be running on OS.

I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro that I plan to run windows on on a separate partition and use it with my VagCom cable for my Audi/VW and eventually hopefully a 996

We use PIWIS, Autogic and others here, but the Durametric has some features that I like better than both the big platforms.

I am happy to pay ($$) for the service and share couple of beers ! I am in South Florida / Miami.
I considered it but I dont have a Windows PC and it doesn't seems to be running on OS.
I will need to buy a PC and I will be better off getting my indy to do it for the money.
Also I though it could be fun and an occasion to discuss with other owners.

Are any of the other OBD scanners worth looking into? I've read a few threads about the Foxwell, icarscan etc. I wouldn't mind being able to use the scanner for multiple cars. As far as I can tell the durametric can pull historical overrev data while the others can only read that data live.

Durametric rules.. Don't buy anything else!
We use PIWIS, Autogic and others here, but the Durametric has some features that I like better than both the big platforms. I use it when gathering basic data for building tunes, since it spits everything out into a .csv and I can then build files from that very easily.
Ahaha Thanks for the offer but it will be a long drive!
My reasoning for starting that threat was a lot of us are first time 911 owners, the 996 is really the entry level in the 911 world. They are great cars but if we had all the money of the world we will probably have not picked the 996.
By sharing tools, like Durametric, we could offset the cost of ownership of them and get some interactions with another enthusiast.
I rather give $100 to a fellow 996 owner and spend an hour with him/her to do the check on my car than dropping it at my Indy and let them do all the checks while I wait.
