Tires all have different build dates and one tire was replaced; not the same yr (2014) as the others -- 2019 vs 2014 and 10/32 left on the new tire vs only 6/32 on the others -- but will probably replace them all at the same time just so they match.

Suggestion
As for 911s vs Vettes, I was thinking about buying a 996TT to fill a HP gap in my collection but have decided to buy a C7 Vette Z51 Stingray Convertible (for less than what people are asking for 996TTs) instead.
Leading evidence: 'Replace tires all have different build dates and one tire' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is '4 wheel alignment as well)' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill hp gap in my collection' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
It has ALL of the bells and whistles but it needs new tires and brakes (and probably a 4 wheel alignment as well).

It's generally in good shape but it's has clearly been "neglected." Oil needs changing too.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

"From the May 1998 issue of Car and Driver." "Prizefighters: In the red corner, the latest German light-heavyweight contender. And in the blue corner, America's great bright hope."
"Second Place: Porsche 911 Carrera: Yeah, it finished second, but let's get this straight. The 911 is almost certainly the better car of the two in absolute terms."
"First Place: Chevrolet Corvette" (ouch!)

I remember this. It was a value battle, and the C5 took it down based on the cost.
I dont like that a 2-seater is compared with a 2+2, but the Boxster would have fared worse, Porsche doesnt make a Corvette-equivalent.
I wonder who would win today? Not based on 2020 Vette vs 911 (I believe the 911 just won this battle recently), but instead, a 996 or 986S versus the C5. After all, the C5 is very affordable.
I always find car review comparisons amusing.
Everyone has their favorite and such reviews never change anyone's opinion regarding which car they like best, even if that car "loses." The comparison between a 911 and a Vette is really a matter of apples vs. oranges; both couldn't be more different. Either you like one or the other, or maybe even both, but they are NOT the same kind of car and do not offer the same driving experience.
The same applies to the ridiculous drag/speed comparisons between the 911 and Tesla Model S (or whatever). I own a 996 and have driven a Model S. I don't care if a Tesla goes faster than a 911 in the 1/4 mile because a Tesla (no matter how fast it can go) is NOT a 911. Just no comparison in my opinion and it doesn't matter to me that a Tesla S (or whatever) can go faster.
I'd NEVER buy/lease a Tesla based on its 1/4 mile time. I'd buy/lease one because I needed/wanted an EV sedan w/extended range and the ability to carry 4-5 comfortably and travel long distances w/o the need to buy any gas (or even pay for recharging it if your Tesla has been grandfathered), regardless how inconvenient it might be to plan/schedule your recharge stops at Tesla Supercharging stations along the way.
BTW, I leased a Bolt EV for 3 yrs.
As for 911s vs Vettes, I was thinking about buying a 996TT to fill a HP gap in my collection but have decided to buy a C7 Vette Z51 Stingray Convertible (for less than what people are asking for 996TTs) instead. It'll sit in my garage along w/my 2000 C4 Cab and 2002 MR2 Spyder. I prefer variety in the vehicles that I drive.
Different strokes for different folks!
FWIW, I just bought this 2014 Chevy Corvette Z51 Stringray 3LT M/T. A year to the day after I bought my 996. It has ALL of the bells and whistles but it needs new tires and brakes (and probably a 4 wheel alignment as well). It's generally in good shape but it's has clearly been "neglected." Oil needs changing too.

The special Michelin Super Sport ZP run flats cost as much as the ones on my F250 -- about $400-450 each.
So, I may replace them w/regular Pilot Super Sport 4s tires (if they are available in the Z51 sizes, which could be an issue) and just carry a compressor/inflator and tire plug kit instead. I also have AAA in case they don't work. I run Pilot Super Sports on my BMW 335i and carry an emergency spare. No room to do that in the Vette.

The car "only" cost me $38,540 (b4 tax/reg, which is well under book and $6-7k below asking prices for the same yr/make/model) but still looking at about another $4k for the tires/brakes and an extra key which still puts it w/in the high "book' range for the car. Dealer is paying for the needed oil/filter change and a full tank of gas before I pick up the car.
It also has a minor "ding" in the rear (prior owner's wife backed into something) that was reported as an "accident" on CarFax that I could ignore but will probably fix for another $1-2k. Just my preference on that but I'm happy w/my purchase over all.
Had a problem w/getting the car insured w/Haggerty which insures my 3 other "collector" cars because they suspended any new underwriting in my county due to the CA forest fires (even though there are NO fires in my county right now). So, I had to go to State Farm (that insures my other 2 cars). Premium is 2x as much as Haggerty but will switch to Haggerty as soon as they notifiy me that the "suspension" has been lifted.
Happy w/the car in any event and it makes a nice addition to my collection.
If you havent driven a Corvette and 911 on the same day, I highly recommend it. Both are very different ways to go fast. To me the 911 feels more like a precision tool and Vettes are big hammers.
