Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I going to be looking at a car with a fresh motor by them. 2001 996 3.4. I will be talking to them directly myself but looking for other experiences, good or bad, about the quality of their engine building.

@johnireland I know this post is years old, but did you ever end up talking to TMS? If so, did you buy the car? I'm looking at a 997 with a rebuilt motor by them as well, so interested to hear any feedback. Thanks!

Ended up not buying that car for other reasons, but i appreciate the insight. I actually ended up speaking to Tiger over the phone and he seemed pretty knowledgeable and just genuine. Hopefully I'll never need to use his services for that purpose, but will keep him in the rolodex for sure.
