Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Alright so I'm thinking about doing an IMSB upgrade on my 996 Mk2. Previous owner did clutch 4,000 miles ago and didn't do it Any suggestions where I can get it done for a reasonable amount? Carl's place quoted $2200, $1200 of which is labor.

JD do you know how much they might charge?

POST 4Original post

No, I would imagine it depends on what you want. I didn't have them do mine because I wanted it done by Jake. I only had it done for peace of mind and the only way I would have true piece of mind was to have Jake do it. The TROPHY PERFORMANCE shop is well known and has a good reputation.

POST 5Original post

I just had mine done on my 99 C2. Paid $1,600. No clutch because only had 26,000 miles and clutch was in great shape. That price included a double row L&N and RMS, oil change. Now driving with very LITTLE worry.

Thats pretty much my exact situation but where did you have it done for $1600?

Wow. That's cheap. I either got ripped off or you might want to check on what they did. The dual row part (I assume you mean Ln pro), rms and oil are close to a grand and they did all that work for $600 in labor?

POST 8Original post

He had his 99 replaced. The 99 has an OEM DR (if its the original engine). I think its extremely rare to find a 99 engine with a SR. The LN Pro is a special hybrid DR to go in a SR IMS. The LN Pro is not for the OEM DR M96.
