Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
It may have to be removed from the tb to clean the passage.
Leading evidence: 'Clean passage' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean passage' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

This and the car may run a little rough for about 20 minutes as described by Porschetechs (Skip) Thread on the subject (good read).

You need to get yourself a Durametric so that you can run more diagnostics on the car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

but still not lnstant acceleration.is this normal .it has 54 k onit.
I have a 996 , I herited a k& n cold air filter on the vehicle. Latency in throttle is definitely not normal with Porsches. They're known for instantaneous acceleration.
Forget so-called "cold air intakes" on these cars. Find yourself a used stock airbox. If you want more performance, then buy yourself a 997.1 airbox.
You need to get yourself a Durametric so that you can run more diagnostics on the car. This makes me wonder if you're not experiencing issues with fuel pressure/delivery.
it has an idle air control valve. Its mounted on the throttle body. There is a tiny hole that allows air to bypass the butterfly valve in the tb and helps control idle. It may have to be removed from the tb to clean the passage. Not sure if u can clean and lube the sensor itself. Maf cleaner is not a lubricant.
bought some mass air flow cleaner tooke the air filter off and sprayed inside will know if it was a succes tomorrow morning . these porsche air filters are bloody sensitive. fuel and air mixture has to be spot on . such a highly tuned racing engine. not ur run of the mill Honda civic. lol 😆
Thats not really gonna do anything. U need the remove the maf and clean it, but what u should do is buy an obd11 reader do u can monitor the maf voltage and see if its in the correct range.
