Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Performed · outcome unconfirmed
You did not give any clue as to when the engine last ran and how it ran (rough, good idle, etc.).
Leading evidence: 'Run (rough, good idle, etc.)' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check engine electrical connectors and ground wire' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suggestion
Three basic things needed for an engine to run: air, gas and spark.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello out there,
I hope there are some techs out there who can give a few ideas on my issue.
It is 996 3.4l, NO E-gas engine, each cylinder having 11,5 - 12 bar compression, timing ok, fuel pressure ok (3,8 bar), visibly sparks on all 6 cylinders, spark plugs are wet...
Normally a situation for an engine that should run... but not this one!
I just read out some actual values of the dme. I know a few values that should come out at 20C and the engine at operating temperature.
I do have only 3C in the garage and the operating temperature of the engine is the same, because it does not start. So there might of course be shown a difference in some values, because of the lower temperatures that are given.
These are my actual values, while starting:
RPM: about 300 1/min (during the starting process)
Air mass: about 7,75 kg/h (varies a bit depending on the RPM of the starter)
It should have 17 kg/h at 680 RPM, so it should be ok.
Ignition timing: 4,6 - 5.2 crk
Shoud have 5.3 +/- 0.7
Injection time: 29.6 ms (!!!) on a second test even 59.9ms (!!!)
Injection time at 680RPM should be 3.0ms +/- 1.0
Range 2 Cylinder 1-3 (FRA): 0.98
Range 2 Cylinder 4-6 (FRA2): 0.98
Range 1 Cylinder 1-3 (TRA): 0
Range 1 Cylinder 4-6 (TRA2): 0
Camshaft Position 1 Deviation: 0crk
Segment (A): 0.1
Segment (B): 0.1
Oxygene sensing cylinder 1-3: 1.00
Oxygene sensing cylinder 4-6: 1.00
I do not have values to compare with for oxygen sensing.
Sometimes cyl 3 is firing, when I try to start...
Your answers are pretty welcome, I hope the issue can be solved
Best regards!
Check your engine temperature values.
Ambient and engine temperatures will affect to cranking enrichments (choke in older cars).
Sometimes when the sensor goes bad, it can give faulty readings to ecu. So ecu can think that there is -25c ambient temperature...
Hello speed,
tany thanks for your answer!
Temperatures are all good, i already had a look at them.
Do you have any ohter idea?
Your suggestions are very welcome!
Best regards!
You did not give any clue as to when the engine last ran and how it ran (rough, good idle, etc.). Three basic things needed for an engine to run: air, gas and spark. Assume the air intake is good enough for the engine to run. Since you say the spark plugs are wet, assume it is getting fuel but no spark. Check engine electrical connectors and ground wire. Typical culprit for a no start - CPS (crankshaft position sensor).
