This was the best solution I tried with my MOST-equipped Boxster - I added a second head-unit and just used the factory head-unit to drive the amp and speakers.

I also have the Bose Most System and highly recommend the iSimple Blu Tranzit set-up.

Hey fellas. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a way to connect my iPhone to the cars audio system. I tried to do a parrot system, but unfortunately I have a Bose system with fiber-optic cables. This deemed that process useless. I don't really care about Bluetooth, all I really want is an auxiliary cable where I can plug in my phone and have all the speakers working at a minimum. It seems like the tranzit system is pretty popular, but all of the audio guys I've talked to have said it's a big no-no because the sound quality is horrible. Like I said all I care about is an auxiliary cable, what is a way to do this with my fiber optic system? Thanks.
Sending your head unit back to Becker and they will fit an aux cable for you for around $115, I sent mine of as I thought the mono output would be acceptable and I just wanted to be able to play my Iphone music cheaply.
Hindsight is a great thing, yes you can play your music, but the sound quality is really poor, I wouldn�t advise it.
I'm surprised that no one has reversed engineered that radio mod and posted it as a DIY
In any case, I have a parrot portable (visor mount) Bluetooth and it will stream audio to the radio via Bluetooth to rf in it

The parrot system works with most Porsche stereos even the upgraded Bose in our MK2 cars. Apparently though my Bose was even more of a factory upgrade because it has fiber optic cables? I was very upset it wouldn't work because it was a cheap and easy solution. It would have only played out of 2 of the 6 or 8 speakers I have in the car....
I also have the Bose Most System and highly recommend the iSimple Blu Tranzit set-up. It will let you stream music and take calls via Bluetooth. I have in installed in my '03 Cab and can easily take calls with the top down at highway speeds with no problem. The sound quality is excellent. It displays song names and caller id on your radio screen and Hague cluster using RDS. Install is simple, through the antenna in on your head unit. It is very reasonably priced at $89. There are in-line FM modulators that sound very good. The wireless FM modulators (that just transmit an FM signal) can suck due to interference - but the in-line models that install between the antenna and the head unit provide MUCH better sound quality.
I used a Scosche model similar to this one:

No alternator whine, no interference from strong radio signals. It wasn't optimal, but when working with MOST, you have to come up with solutions...
The Parrot I am talking about is wireless, it is basically a portable Bluetooth box for hands-free phone. The "Freeway" model also has a FM modulator so you can hear your calls through the radio, or stream music as well.
It will work with ANY FM radio
