Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use blue magic, it leaves a layer of silicone after your done to repel water...i even polished the stuff in my bathtub with it.
Leading evidence: 'Use blue magic' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean enough' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Spray tips inside and out with an all purpose auto cleaner (I use P21S Total Auto Wash)

Afterwards used some EagleOne polish, they look really nice.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

HEY!!!
Anybody know of some trick/product to cleaning and polishing exhaust tips???
My tips are dirty and hazy. I have tried several metal cleaners to no avail.
Help!!!
Polish them with P21S Multi-Surface Finish Restorer Polish:
http://www.carcareonline.com/detail....oduct_id=10417
The first time you do this, you'll need to polish each tip a few times--don't be afraid to really rub.
Once you have a nice finish, use some RejeX:
http://www.corrosionx.com/rejex.html
This stuff is great at keeping exhaust tips from discoloring, and also great at keeping bug splats off the windshield, and brake dust from accumulating on your wheels.
I do this a few times a year and the tips look great.
For about $150 you can buy a set of factory tips already polished, from
AJ-USA, all you have to do is send your old ones in after you get the new ones ($300 refundable core charge)
This approach can be done with the tips on the car...
1. Rinse tips with hose/spray to loosen soot/particles
2. Wash tips inside and out with general auto car wash soap/water to get more soot/particles off
3. Spray tips inside and out with an all purpose auto cleaner (I use P21S Total Auto Wash)
4. While still wet with P21S, clean tips with OOO grade steel wool (use one steel wool pad per tip and do the outside first then the inside. This method will help minimize scratching the outside.
5. Rinse
6. Dry with a
soft
microfiber cloth
7. Polish tips (I use Mothers PowerMetal)
Should look like this when finished...
There are tips that come from the factory without a natural high luster appearance. My brother has those on his 996. I took the tips off the car and used steel wool and Mothers metal polish but they still did not have the high polish look as the tips on my turbo.
Maybe I didn't look back enough, I'll have to check it out. I've polished with P21s finish restorer with decent results, never a chrome shine, but clean enough!
This is my first post, but I recently was able to clean mine after several frustrating attempts with other means. I took them off (only the one bolt), and sprayed it down with Carb. Cleaner (small sections at a time, and rubbing the stains off with a rag). Afterwards used some EagleOne polish, they look really nice.
Usually the EagleOne works by itself, but this stuff was really hard to get off, lol.
