Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Change went fine, a few scuffed knuckles, its certainly tight in there!!, on removing the coils I checked them over and no cracks or damage, all the old plugs were a nice brown color as well, non stood out as in bad condition.
Leading evidence: 'Check ignition coils' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check ignition coils' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Replaced the plugs, cleaned the coil connectors and liberally added dialectic grease to all of the connections.

I had purchased a set of plugs in the winter so this weekend decided to change them an inspect the coils.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So my car has around 47k on and has run perfectly for the last 2 years. This winter I used Seafoam instead of Stabil for the first time. After its winter sleep I stared the cars and had P0300, 301 & 303 CELs which I read up are misfires commonly related to plugs or coils.
At first I thought it was stale gas following the winter storage, but the again I got codes P0300, 301, 302 & 305, this was after at least 2 full fuel refills. I had purchased a set of plugs in the winter so this weekend decided to change them an inspect the coils.
Change went fine, a few scuffed knuckles, its certainly tight in there!!, on removing the coils I checked them over and no cracks or damage, all the old plugs were a nice brown color as well, non stood out as in bad condition. Replaced the plugs, cleaned the coil connectors and liberally added dialectic grease to all of the connections. One dumb thing I did was mix the coil on replacement, I didnt mix the left and right banks up, but didnt refit them in the exact same position.
Started the car up this morning and I could feel it misfiring again, it hasnt thrown a CEL yet but I checked and it has logged P0300, 302, 303 & 305 this morning.
So my question relates to how coils fail, do they fail at the same time, i.e.: I would expect 1 starting to fail at some stage but 3 at the exact same time, as I mentioned they were in perfect visible condition, but I presume this is no indication of their true state?
Clearly I will log the codes closely not to see if there is a consistent misfire pattern.
Any ideas what else it could be?
When you attached the electric connection to the coil pack did you hear it "click"? Steve is right the coils do not all go bad at the same time. Also are you sure the plugs are in nice and tight? Same for the allen head screws that hold the coli pack in?
When you say you used seafoam what does that specifically mean? Stabil is a gas preservative designed to keep the gas from coagulation. I always thought Seafoam was a crankcase cleaner unless of course the fine folks at seafoam now make gas treatment too. In either case, know this, fouled fuel will emulate all coils failing.
I didn't know before today that people use Seafoam for anything other than to make lots of smoke for YouTube videos. Live and learn.
Since the thing that changed is the fuel additive, I'd look at that first. Fuel filter? I honestly don't know to what extent a gummed-up filter can cause misfires, and the Google didn't provide definitive evidence either way, but...
