Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
My fear is if my cats go bad I'll either just buy used ones off ebay or go with a Fabspeed product potentially since that is the exhaust system that is currently on mine.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 40th with X51 package (like all 40ths do) and one of my cats has failed. Seeing that the cats are so darn expensive, and I do not have to deal with SMOG in my state, what are the pros and cons with going to a cat delete like Soul Performance offers? Only mods I have is a silicon intake tube and Remus cat-back exhaust.

The compromise for me between cost of a factory unit and complete delete was a 200 cell system. I got mine from Design911 and are the same as top gear I think. Good reviews, reasonable quality.
OP - if you decide to delete the cats, you’ll need to tune the ECU to cancel check engine light. Good 200 cell cats would not normally need a tune. I didn’t know Remus made NA mufflers for 996.

Here is a vid with Fisters and FVD X Pipe cat delete.
pros:
power: I have nothing on paper, but it feels stronger everywhere.
Sound: its incredible. And with the fisters, zero drone
weight: again, nothing on paper, but noticeably lighter than the cats I took off.
cons:
Smell: There are no cats, its smells.
Cats: There arent any, so smog would be an issue if required for inspection.
Engine light: Spacers are required for the secondary sensors located on the cats.
Middle: Price. I never looked at what stock cats cost, but anything Porsche is probably big bucks. So, used cats would be the best bet. My XPipe was about $650 before shipping costs from Europe. I bought them second hand for a very reasonable price.
Overall, I love it. The sound is amazing. But its way louder, so I am extra careful leaving my neighborhood.
