Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The female connector was found right away and is fairly commonly used on BMW's, but the matching male connector is not used on anything that I know of, just was lucky enough to find it after looking through thousands to connectors.
Leading evidence: 'Use on bmw's' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair harness' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

It's a repair harness, from the wheel hub to the main harness.

I have seen instances where wire harnesses had to be replaced due to a particular connector could not be found, and most times the harness had to wait on to be built..

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You can't do anything about the costs of the parts. It's a porsche. But the $650 labor for a non-specialty shop in Houston seems out of line by a factor of 2.
No high end shops would name themselves Midas.
The part price is definitely multiplied a couple of times, if they are referring to the wheel speed sensors. OEM wheel speed sensors (I'm guessing this is what they are referring to, if you have a part number to supply I can confirm this for you,) are $175. This is from Pelican Parts:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog...ELSENS_pg3.htm
So if you were to go Bosch "OEM Supplier" sensors you'd be looking at $75 per corner.
Not going to "blow the whistle" per se on this shop's pricing but it seems like they are boosting the part price big time.
Also I'd question whether all 4 need to be replaced... I had one "go bad" and I found out I actually didn't plug it back in all the way.
Quick Edit: I did a generic google search for "ABS wire" and all I get is results for the speed sensors... I can't find one remotely close to $389.96
Yea, I could not find anything near that price point either. What about the labor costs? Does that seem reasonable? (This is my brother's car, he just asked if I thought that seemed reasonable and I said "f@#% no!" All in all, I think I'm going to make a trip to this shop and ask them for an itemized reciept/ their reciepts on the parts ordered.
Sorry I'm terrible at math, obviously, I was looking at the total as the parts price. I didn't see it's labor + part. They're charging $325/hour? I'm a shade-tree mechanic and it would take me 1 hour to replace two of them if I really, really took my time. There's nothing to it...
Edit #2 - It absolutely seems like they're trying to take your brother for a ride.

It's customary for many indy’s to post their shop labor rate. Not sure if they’re legally required to, but I will be in the area of that shop next week and would be happy to stop in and inquire. I can’t think that a national chain would have a labor rate 2.5 to 3x the normal rate.
I'm not saying the price isn't high ( because I don't really know), but if you look and read closely at the RO it says "ABS connector with pigtail" (not the usual sensor). The electrical connectors many times are not avilible from Porsche without buying the harness, big $$$$$ !! I have seen instances where wire harnesses had to be replaced due to a particular connector could not be found, and most times the harness had to wait on to be built.. Luckily that connector was found and included a "pigtail" so splicing it in was a bit easier than UN-pinning or finding new terminals. IS $369 for a connector with 4inches of wire and terminals too high? YES, but beats the hell out of buying a wire harness..IS $650 labor high? maybe, but they may have spent 4-5 hours in testing and wire repair.
It took me 9 months to finally find the male and female connectors to make the UAOS a full Plug-N-Play installation. The female connector was found right away and is fairly commonly used on BMW's, but the matching male connector is not used on anything that I know of, just was lucky enough to find it after looking through thousands to connectors.
I believe this is what they are talking about.

Good catch. I see it now. You actually read the document!
All of a sudden this becomes more reasonable. Car electrical is a different story. Soldering and heat shrinking a wiring harness is not fun on a car.
