Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I purchased my car it seemed a little throatier than the others I test drove, now I know why... It appears to have a stainless aftermarket exhaust. Stainless headers, mufflers and larger tips. After some searching I have identified it as a B&B which on some forums catches some Flack apparently.. Anyone know what the major complaint is? The system was $3500 originally apparently, so is it a cost to quality issue? Like comparitively the quality doesn't command the price? I think it sounds pretty good, hopefully it will serve me well.

POST 2Original post

I have the same on my '99. Works well for me too.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep that's it, same set plus headers. http://www.bbexhaust.com/car/996/

POST 4Original post

I have the same setup on my '99, headers and all. It sounds better than a Fister Design mod of a stock muffler. It's deeper sounding and a bit louder overall.

POST 5Original post

Some people think that they are too loud and that they drone. Some people like them. I've only heard one once, and it was too loud for a daily driver in my opinion. If you like it though, then that's an excellent find!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Gotcha, I don't really plan to daily my car, perhaps a few days during nice weather. Thanks for the input all.

POST 7Original post

I have no problem daily driving mine. It's not loud, just the right amount of noise. It doesn't drone either.

Exactly. It is not loud and there is no drone. Really sounds nice when you are up around 4500rpm. Mine have been on the car for about 11 years.
