I'm utilizing this board to the fullest extent so I thought I should stop mooching and pay the membership fee. Since that's now complete, are there any members here in the La Habra, CA area? I found a nice looking Arena Red 996 Aero for sale by a local dealer. The price is right but would like to have someone with a discerning eye take a look. Thanks as always.

Not exactly La Habra...I'm in the San Fernando Valley. And I'm not an expert on 996s, I've only had mine from September 26...however I'm happy to help anyway I can. Is the local dealer a Porsche dealer? Do you have a carfax on the car. If no Carfax is being provided you can still run the VIN through Carfax and generate your own report on the car. I was able to locate a car I used to own that way. The Carfax will show you who the original selling dealer was, and other service history that you can track down.
