Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

This originally aired last week. Tonight's episode is a repeat. You would never be able to get a 993 for that kind of price here though.

POST 3Original post

It sure looked nice when done. That varioram was a bitch to fix. Typical situation; little plastic part breaking, but not offered by factory... 2002 Turbo - Basalt Black Metallic / 2003 Carrera 4S - Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 - Rust Red

POST 4Original post

Did you see how rusted the wheels and exhaust tips were? The wheels looked great after refurbishment. Did they say how many miles were on the 993? They sold the Targa for 19,500 pounds.

POST 5Original post

Considering the neglected look of the car, I'd be very leery of the mechanical parts. Did the PO ever change the oil?

I got a quick peek at the odometer it read 161,000. The $30k that 19.5 pounds translates into buys an awfully nice 996. Granted it depends on what you're buying it for. As an investment 993. If I want to drive it 996. Just a quick check of Autotrader and found a 1996 Targa w/94k miles for $37k also found a 1997 Targa w/99k miles for $28k. Low mileage 993's command a huge premium but higher mileage ones can still be found for 996 money.
