Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Outcome without a verified action link

I am still not sure whether the tuning made a noticeable difference, though, but the suspension is a significant improvement.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Few days ago DBC Tuning installed the Koni Sport Damper Set with Koni Yellows and H&R springs on my 2004 C2 convertible. This setup lowered the car by 3.1 cm. I have now ca. 200 miles on this setup. Berk set the dampers on middle (between min and max). Initially the ride was harsh in the back and very good in the front. Now the springs and dampers are settling and the rear got more comfortable. In general I am absolutely happy with this Koni Set since the ride is more controlled, the front end less "lose" and the turn in is great. The ride is in general significantly more comfortable. A significant improvement over the stock setup and highly recommended. As for Evomsit tuning, my butt dyno does not feel an increase in power (my engine is stock, no mods). I think it "learned" during the 200 miles period and the engine feels more crisp and responsive above 3-4K rpm, low end is still a bit revvy and anemic. It might continue "learning" but so far its rather an interesting than overwhelming experience with it. As always DBC tuning did a fantastic job at a very fair price, highly recommended. Thanks Berk. UPDATE: I recently moved from San Antonio to San Diego and drove my car from SAT to SAN, ca. 1250 miles. I had expected to have a rough ride but the ride was very comfortable. I drove every day ca. 9 hours. The engine kept purring, did not burn any oil and nothing catastrophic or mildly concerning happened. However, my mpg dropped significantly. It was ca. 29 mpg before Evomsit and ca. 24.5 after, but again I did not buy this car for fuel efficiency. I am still not sure whether the tuning made a noticeable difference, though, but the suspension is a significant improvement. Perfect touring car. Anybody in Carlsbad with a 996?

Only lowered by 3.1mm? That's about one-eighth of an inch...
