Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

I will say that nothing has made me appreciate my car more than test driving some of the alternatives (ones I can afford, that is).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For what...
DD - VW Golf TDI with DSG and sport appearance package
Weekend fun - Superformance Cobra
Impress the neighbors - '65 Corvette Stingray
Scare the neighbors - Lamborghini Gallardo Balboni edition in carbon black
Simple self-fulfillment - Any Porsche since '49
2004-2005 Yamaha R1 for pure performance and beauty
2000-2003 Moto Guzzi V11S for pure self fulfillment and breathtaking beauty
And Golf TDI is a perfect workhorse, I agree totally. Mine is 2000, 188,xxx and seems like finally fully broken-in engine. Otherwise runs and feels like new.
Sometimes a change is fun just for the sake of it. I am not in the market, but have considered a Z06 Corvette (never had a vette or a car with this much power) and a Mercedes SL--more of a luxo tourer but I am really attracted to the retractable hardtop. I will say that nothing has made me appreciate my car more than test driving some of the alternatives (ones I can afford, that is).
I know what you mean about "the itch", and I don't mean the kind that Gold Bond will help.
I used to have a 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. I loved that car, even though it was in the shop more than it was in my garage. A guy up the street from me just picked up a used 1974ish Spider, and I drool every time he drives by. I may have to pick up another one. The wife would not be pleased with this train of thought...
One of the newer 1000cc sport bikes would learn you real good on what G's a speed are. Takes something like an F-1 to catch you if you have all the schooling to ride like a racer. I really do advise getting those classes if anyone ever does ride that sort of bike. Death is really easy to come by riding the rockets of today.
My friend went through many cars (including a Cayman 'S') and likes his newer Viper. I believe he misses the E46 M3 though, just was a little too anemic.
looks ike you have performance covered why not go with a Defender 90 or a vintage bronco and get into the woods... I have and 95 range rover lwb that compliments my 4S...
Like the GTS viper but was happier getting out after the drive than getting in before. Love the Maserati coupe but again the maintence rape concens me. Drove on and the F1 tranny was a little problematic. Cool car ,was a special edition of some sort.
How about a Audi R8? Have to agree with you about Ferrari's because a couple of my buddies have them and the maintenance costs are through the roof. But I love to go driving with those guys because the cars sound amazing.
