Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The small white bulb below the HID has burned out. What is this called? Is it difficult to DIY?

POST 2Original post

All your answers are in your owners manual including type of bulbs to buy! If don't have an owners manual try looking over at Renntech.org. Loren has a great site and tons of DIY info.

POST 3Original post

the headlights come out in under a minute by rotating a locking cam with a tool found in your tool kit (or 8mm IIRC socket) - bubs go into sockets that are easy to remove.... be careful installing to make sure the connectors line up by wiggling the light as it is going back in - it should not hangup... last note - what the lock "snaps" into either the locked or unlocked position you might think you used too much force and just broke it.. nope, thats the way it works, a bit of force and a loud snap if not any indy shop would do it for free just to have you start coming in for your regular maintenance
