Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Not posting pics after everything is installed means that these were never your parts!
Leading evidence: 'Install means' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install means' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. I used ceramic coating on the race car and there are definitely benefits to the coatings.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

look fantastic. so what is this process called exactly 'ceramic coating' ? or they have a fancy way of putting it
What was the main motivation behind it ? the color ? or to make sure it doesn't oxidize ? ..

Actually...
I lucked-out and got a great deal on the headers (off ebay). They were used and looked the typical burnt-out header look. But they performed very well....they felt better than the setup I had...less "boomy", more business-like/race inspired. They are made of T316 (thicker) material and have a real nice merge collector design. Based on this, I decided to go full boat FVD. I put their Brombacher mufflers on and when their X-Pipe 200 cell Cat's came out I picked those up as well. I wanted to make everything look the same...hense ceramic coating. I worked closely with Rhonda at FVD...she/they were great in providing the tuned sound I was looking for without in-cabin resonance...video to follow...
Wow, judging from your avatar, i think the black tips will go along nicely with the existing accents.
Be sure to post pics with 'em on! Or don't and get the pic ****** (not naming names) angry!
looks sweet Fly996, I have a bunch of customers asking to do this now. Make sure to post some pictures when its on the car, would love to see it all done. Enjoy the new setup and the new tips, they look great.

The main motivator was to have a more seamless look to the back bumper area. Prior to that there was a mixture of black, stainless, oxidized stainless, rusted clamps...it looked like "you know what"
Right. This lowers the heat that rises into the engine bay....also make it easier to work on the exhaust area as those parts will not get as hot to the touch.
Thanks Red, no-go for Hershey
Thanks. We're doing the install on jack stands but I will get it to a lift in short order for pic's....diggin' those Fabspeed Tips!
Right. These headers and the X-Pipe (up to the Cat's) are coated inside as well. Should cool the gases for better flow.
Yes I know. Pic's and some cool vid's to follow....
can you confirm if you coated the inside as well or if all tubes were closed before the coating ? I wonder especially about the surface in contact with the header seals.
Yes, coated inside and at the header seal....insides are one coat ceramic (grey)...not coated with additional layers of black then gloss as was done to the outside of all pieces.
Dude you've got the best mods!!!
I've got it in silver on the headers of my bike (otherwise you always see the blueing).
But I never thought of using it on a car...
Not to many people know about ceramic coating.
In the bike customizing industry it's common knowledge because we use it on parts that get to hot for powder coating but how on earth did you even find out about it?
VERY COOL!
Don't think so.
It's been a while since I was in that neck of the woods.
But then again, all that sex and drugs and rock&roll has taken it's toll.
Or like Ozzy says, "out of all the things I've lost...I miss my mind the most"!
Cheers,
Sid.
