Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found this worn rubber bushing hanging under the passenger side of vehicle. Identified as for securing the a/c intake lines. Ordered a replacement bracket & bushing. There appears to be a stud protruding from the underbody. Any assistance on how to pry off the old bracket and how the new one installs with the new bushing? Dont want to damage these 2 lines. Old bushing. Part #999.511.231.41 First time post for me...thanks.

POST 2Original post

The clip part (hard plastic) just pushes onto/pulls off of the stud. The bushing gets held by the clip... or not. The emphasis is on the not... there should really be a nut or something to hold the clip part up to the body. The stud just doesnt work very well...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I see the stud sticking down. The new bracket has a pre-set sleeve to push thru & slide onto this stud. It has a hex head to twist & turn it over the stud which is threaded. See photo. Ill try to get to this today & report back. Thanks

This was my first time using this forum and I very pleased. Getting the car jacked up allowed me to use a pry driver to remove the old bracket. I was able to skip on the new bracket & rubber bushing with a little wiggle room. Then push & twist the sleeve that secured it to the stud. Lines are snug & secure. Thanks again.

That looks like an updated/upgraded part - Good to know, sounds like it actually works... If it lets go, report back and let us know.
