Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

K- i bought two of the audi generic ignition switches from Autohaus and when plugged in- all the lights came on etc which of course means switch is wrong configuration. Went to Pelican parts and bought the part number as listed and same deal, plug in and all lights on, radio on, ac on etc- so i am i to assume i have a replacement switch in play here? The switch in place is fine, just a little sticky at times so i was going to replace etc. I would prefer not to keep climbing my 6'4 self under the dash to not have the switch work... Any ideas?? Thanks my friends

POST 2Original post

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...on-switch.html Here you go my friend. You will find the part number in the thread. Go to napa and its $12 for the switch. I did mine a few months ago and all is well.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks 996pp- I have gotten the audi switches and then a Porsche switch from Pelican parts- but seems the tumbler is reversed as all of the lights and acc. come on when the key is switched off. Maybe I have the new switch installed from the dealer- I will check the records etc...
