Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I installed my front strut brace on the same day the Dassport Rollbar (integrated rear strut brace) got installed.
Leading evidence: 'Install front strut brace' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install front strut brace' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

yes, yes, unfortunately has no part number but the mounts fit the 996 strut mounts. are the struts on a 996 widebody or turbo the same distance apart or are they wider than a 996?
I installed my front strut brace on the same day the Dassport Rollbar (integrated rear strut brace) got installed.
It made a world of difference in my 2003 Coupe, the body is extremely ridge.
For you guys with strut braces, does the plastic battery cover still fit with the bar installed?
[edit] It looks like it depends on the manufacturer. Some do, some don't, some require modification...
Ha ha. well it doesn't fit and I don't plan to use it if it's just laying there on the battery . Wondering if was from a 997, 991 or some turbo/widebody variant.

C-didy, if your grandpappy was a 1950s Hot Rodder and you asked him “what does this fit”? He’d tell you “I have a hammer and a hacksaw, it fits anything I damn well want it to!
How much too long is the strut bar? If it’s a inch or so, just file or cut down the outside faces of the threaded alloy inserts on both ends of the bar. If it’s an inch too long, just cut that amount off one end, grind off the carbon fiber from the now separated insert and reinsert (with epoxy glue) it into the shortened tube.
Also, depending on how much this setup is out of spec for your car, it may be easier to modify the strut brackets. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but it might be possible to drill a new hole at the end of the brackets just behind the existing hole where the u-shaped adjusters mount. The end of the brackets would need to be reshaped for clearance. Since you didn’t give us a measurement of how far off this unit is, it’s really hard to suggest the best plan of attack.
I'd bet all your stiffness came from the roll bar. One of the first mods I looked into was the strut bar (I've had great results in other non P-Cars) and read many comments from people that had one installed, and that swayed me to save my money.
But, they look cool!
