Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Currently installing the new PCCM+ and having trouble with the B connector wiring. PO installed an aftermarket radio, but luckily the PCCM+ kit from Porsche includes a new B connector. I just need to pin the wires in the correct place per the pinout diagram. Does anyone know where each color wire is supposed to go in the B connector plug? Unfortunately, I have 9 wires left and only 8 spots in the B connector... in the above photo you can see that the A connector was left intact, but the B connector was spliced to work with the aftermarket radio. Really hoping someone can ID the colored wires so I can repin properly.

POST 2Original post

The Pelican/101 Projects guide has the wiring pin out for the radio: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...stallation.htm

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I read that pelican post before starting this thread. My issue was that the colors in that table did not match the cables I was trying to re-pin... May need to make a new thread about my PCCM+ install.

POST 4Original post

The twisted pair wires are the speaker wires. The single red/black probably belongs on the black plug. All German cars use the same pinout for the black & brown radio plugs, it's a DIN spec. If your colors don't match what we always did was get an AA battery and touch the various wires listening for the speakers to click. Since each twisted pair goes to a single speaker you should be able to do that here pretty easily - if the colors don't match. From the wiring diagrams:

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh, so the red/black needs to be pinned into the black "A" connector? I just made a thread about my install of the PCCM+ unit, and I am not able get any sound output. Could it be because the red/black wire needs to be pinned to the A connector? I didn't know what to do with that wire, so it isn't connected to anything right now.
