Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
I agree that you have an awesome car, and that your market is probably a lot narrower.
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Awesome build and a Tough one to call...If you could set a reserve that you could live with then I guess it worth a try, but I don't see a very big pool of buyers for this unless it was dirt cheap.
Leading evidence: 'lot narrower' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'lot narrower' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Set reserve' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Having a hard time wrapping my head around this - but there MAY be an opportunity for me ahead that would mean selling my car... I can barely even type those words...
That said- for a car such as mine - does the group think that BAT is the best option? It's pretty specialized...

I'd like to know what you have your eye on?
I agree that you have an awesome car, and that your market is probably a lot narrower. I don't know bring a trailer other than a little browsing. I don't recall seeing dedicated track cars, but maybe I haven't looked. I see race car ads in the PCA magazine - that may be a good route. I wonder it LN/Flat 6 would know potential buyers in this market? As painful as it sounds, I wonder if you'd get a better return by parting it out and selling it piecemeal? You've got a lot of great parts and that engine is worth a lot.
What about
:
https://www.racingjunk.com/
They have a lot of full-on race cars listed there. The "junk" part is kind of a misnomer as there are quite a few race ready cars listed there.
I have a listing about to start on Bring A Trailer (non-Porsche). They have been great to work with but just keep in mind they are selective They do not accept just any car, they they pick and choose what they will accept for an auction as they want their site to retain it's exclusive reputation.
That said they are nice guys, just shoot them a message with a few photos and they will respond in a couple days with their thoughts on whether they would want to list the car for you or not.
I'm going to try to list here to see how it goes as a package... It's in the for sale section now at $44K with trailer... I've made the decision that I'm going to part it out if it doesn't go...
Well - they are nice enough folks... I understand them wanting the reserve to be low - so I think we agreed on a good reserve price... a realistic one too.
That said - now it's just a question as to 'if.'
Sold privately the day before submitting the listing to BAT. Sold to a good friend and fellow track enthusiast...
Perhaps one of the best, most purposeful car I have owned to date. Ill kick myself for this at some point.... in the meantime - off to different pastures...
For the time being... this. We've always been a boating family. And the true fact is - tracking the car is for me. My daughters come with me every time because they kind of have to... 8 and 11. They enjoy it to an extent - but they really miss the boat.... the boat is more of a family thing....
So for the time being - I'll track my Cayenne Diesel if need be or drive student cars to get my fix.... I'll get back into something in about a year.
