I use a sharpie marker to make a tick mark at 12 o�clock on the shaft so you can more easily align the steering wheel.

When you remove the old, I found it best to use a small piece of removable tape to keep the clock spring in place so the tabs line up with the new wheel.

I have #2 (four spoke) on my car and find it to be one of the best steering wheels of any car that I have owned. Thin rim but not too thin, not too thick, just feels good in my hands. Would not want to change it (just my personal opinion - do what makes you happy).

Direct swap. Unbolt one and bolt on the other. Disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 20 minutes to eliminate the airbag/clockspring concern.
I have swapped several, and I prefer the 3 spoke leather gt3 wheel.
There are tabs in the clock spring at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock that fit into the steering wheel. When you remove the old, I found it best to use a small piece of removable tape to keep the clock spring in place so the tabs line up with the new wheel.
I�ve done the swap many times and this was never necessary. The hardest part of the entire job is backing out the captive torx bolts holding the airbag on.
I use a sharpie marker to make a tick mark at 12 o�clock on the shaft so you can more easily align the steering wheel. Otherwise it�s a bunch of trial and error to get the replacement steering wheel aligned.
If the leather covering with that badge on the new wheel isn't from the factory then I would not install that airbag.When the airbag goes off, you'll end up with a projectile.
Brian this is a simple project
Disconnect battery ground wait 20-30 minutes.
Undo the Torx screws from behind to remove the airbag. Disconnect the airbag electrical connections. Mark the steering wheel hub with a sharpie. Remove the center lug nut. Remove steering wheel replace with new one connect the airbag. Put Torx screws back in reconnect the battery. I have done this several times. Easy.
Just for your information, a smaller diameter steering wheel may obstruct tach and oil pressure gauge depending on your height and seat position.
