I drove my previous C4 Cab to Fister and he pulled my OEM mufflers out (which he kept), and he installed a recently completed Fister mod set on my car while I waited.

Anyone know the turn around time for sending yours in? Is it worth getting the ceramic coating? Wonder how they hold up in harsh winter environments with mag chloride? I probably should just do the core charge, but really need to look over mine 1st.
I remember it the turn around about a month. Honestly can't remember the all in cost but did have mine coated and sent originals to Darrin Fister as he didn't have good cores at the time. I know I got mine back as I had marked them prior to sending. They will do some minor repairs if needed and charge for any major work they think they can repair. Good chance if you call Fister you will get Darrin on the phone. One thing for sure the Fister mod is by far the best mod I have done...and I bet like me if you do it you will forget about the cost as soon as you hear it and I swear the sound is getting better in time. Hope this helps.
I received mine in just under a month, did not do core swap as I wanted to hang onto stock mufflers.
Love the sound of them, right about 3300 rpm it kicks in. Well worth the money imo. And yes, if you call, Darin will likely answer the phone.
My mufflers took about a month to be returned to me. Ceramic coating takes longer than the mod itself. If youre not going to ceramic coat, it'll be alot faster.
I havent installed mine yet
I did a core exchange because I had some extra 997 mufflers to exchange and got them, I believe, about a week after I ordered. I didn't do any ceramic though. Even without the ceramic he does a good job making the look clean and pretty. I sent the core mufflers back in the same box.
Coincidentally, I'm putting them on this morning.
Be nice for you to do a write up with some pix on the install ...... everyone has a different "experience" with them......I' waiting, Fister is waiting for cores...
I love the Fister sound and it was a easy install. I ordered the mufflers and sent mine back after I installed the Fisters. I didn’t want the down time. They credited the core charge quickly and I was very happy with their service. Great people to deal with.
My bolts are badly rusted and will have to be torched off so I'm having my shop do it. I ordered all new brackets/bolts to replace the existing ones.
I didn't think to do a before/after video but I can do an after video and hopefully get some decent audio. I'll try to do a write-up this weekend.
I got a good deal on a used set of mufflers and sent them to Fister for the mod. That way there was no down time and I still have my originals in case I ever need to replace them. I've had them on the car for 9 years and still get a kick out of the sound. It's a great mod.
Looks like I will have to risk the cores being good. I think they are in nice shape. As a daily driver, can't afford the down time. Think I will go with the ceramic too.
As I said in my previous comment, I'll try to get some audio/video this weekend, but just picked it up and holy moly what a difference. There is a really nice burble at idle that's a good bit louder than stock, and that's nice, but when I get on the gas a bit it sounds really aggressive. I expected it to sounds better but honestly didn't expect it to sound
that
much better.
When I picked it up from the shop, each guy that walked up from the back said the same three words: "It sounds great." And it does.

I was in and out in a couple of hours the same afternoon. I pulled out to much better sounds out of my car. My current C4S Cab has the Porsche factory Sport Exhaust option so no need to modify.
