Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had to replace the driver door from a hit and run. New door came from a Carrera and mine is a Cabriolet- when I roll the window up, it keeps trying to reseat until I touch the window switch down. Does anyone know if this is an adjustment I can make without removing the door panel?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, the battery is strong - I tried it with the top down and its doing the same thing, so its not because of hitting resistance. Further, when I put the top down all windows roll down except for that one.???

POST 4Original post

Try the reset procedure. Put the window down and keep holding the switch for 10 seconds. Put the window up and hold for 10 seconds. Put the window down again for 10 seconds. It's worth a shot.

POST 5Original post

Did you mean the window came from a coupe because coups and cabs are both "carreras" FYI the coupe and cab have different windows - they are not interchangeable

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First of all, Thanks for your input. The door was from a Carrera hardtop and the glass was replaced with a new window from the dealer (for cabriolet). Im wondering if I need to check the programming through the ECU and immobilizer.

POST 7Original post

Sure no problem - sounds like you have the correct glass. There is limited ecu/DME function with the windows it's mostly mechanical. There are two covers on the bottom of the door that allow for adjustment. Otherwise the door panel needs to come off.
