Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Odd question here. My car is at the shop right now so I cannot measure for myself. I am curious if a package that is 41" X 10" X 6" will fit in the trunk of a C4S. I am looking to pick up a new toy this weekend. This toy is best left in the trunk while transporting. I know .. odd question. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

That's what she said. A: For a C4: Tall - 15 3/4" at rear 9 3/4" at front Wide - 26 1/2" Deep - 16 3/4" Doesn't sound like it.

POST 3Original post

i dont think 41" will work. i know a 34" softball bat will not lay flat in the frunk.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I suppose I can lay it down in the back seat and cover with a blanket... Though legal, I just hope I don't get pulled over.

POST 7Original post

Boy, I thought these types of worries only happen in Canada. That's what I do in Canada, I make sure long guns are trigger locked and in their case. If you don't have a case, pick up a gun sock. I thought you could carry in the U.S with no issues?

Transporting is always a little touch and go, depending on the state. It is legal to have it but as you say, it has to be locked up. I've got a soft case that is lockable. I also will not have any 223 / 5.56 in the car, so that helps.

POST 10Original post

As said above that ain't gonna fit in the frunk of a C4S. Years ago one of the Porsche family claimed they will never make a 911 that cannot carry a set of golf clubs. Guess they forgot that promise or maybe their clubs fold in half!!!

POST 12Original post

No worries carrying them in the back in Texas. Only thing to worry about is carrying NFA. I recommend also carrying a copy of the form with tax stamp. Just dont stop to shop on the way.

I can probably separate the upper and lower. But the box is what I was concerned about. I like having the original packaging. As far as the hookers, not sure the GF would appreciate three dead hookers in the frunk (disassembled or otherwise)..

I carry mine in the front passenger seat, works for me.

POST 16Original post

Sounds like an AR. Put the lower in the Frunk. The box and upper are not firearms so they should be legal in any free state. Weird that I said that when I’m currently not in a free state. Just got here and I’m ready to go home. Oh, just saw you’re in Jersey. Take a different vehicle.

That's a good idea. I am legal to carry with my FID card. I just prefer to avoid any conflict and storing the entire thing in the frunk would have been best. And yes, it is an AR. Actually a Ruger AR556. Good for shooting paper...

POST 19Original post

Im sure u know to seperate your amo and lock that in the frunk. I live just over the bridge from nj and i carry a cable lock to secure my items as i dont have lockable storage in my truck.

POST 20Original post

Glad I live in WA state, you should see the bed of my truck (with canopy on) when me and couple buddies go to an open pit to shoot. You would think WWW 7 was happening, lol. BTW, the door handle pocket that flips up holds my 9 very nicely too...…...

POST 21Original post

Just install a rifle rack on the rear deck or behind the front seats and no problem transporting it. Then stow the folded up box in the frunk.

My golf clubs fit (full set in a cart bag or a stand bag) fit fine in the back with the back seats folded down, or in the front passenger seat. can't speak to a "long gun" though...
