Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

I thought, if it can survive track abuse and super high compression using the S/C, I'd be ok for the street.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 6Original post

took it off for a "different" track experience. it's teaching me to really fight for every tenth. it does suck when high HP cars pull me on the straights but it is really gratifying when i catch them in the turns. going fast in a straight line doesn't take any talent the extra 100 HP felt awesome and boost was verrry addicting. i am hanging onto it and may put it back on at some point. i just wanted at least one full year of tracking without it.

POST 8Original post

Congrats on turning 100k!!! I should be there in a year or two...

POST 9Original post

fantastic...this gives me hope!! NOW go and clean the old lady up....she looks a little dusty (in your closeup of the odometer!)

POST 10Original post

Congrats, actually you were the first high mile 996 that helped me sleep at night when I first bought my car. I thought, if it can survive track abuse and super high compression using the S/C, I'd be ok for the street.

POST 11Original post

haha, i was hoping nobody noticed how dusty she was... that's dust from when i went off track a couple of weeks ago... she still has grass in the cabin . like i said, she's not a garage queen but she's much loved.

Impressive. Just one more owner who can dispell the many myths about owning a 996.

... and add to the body of evidence that these cars are most reliable when they're driven.
