Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

IIRC there are some alarm settings that can be changed - but not surely a setting which five hours after leaving an unlocked car opens the windows and roof???

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

parked up last night outside the house - may have forgotten to lock the car anyhows - as anyone in the south east of England will know, it absolutely chucked it down yesterday evening I spend a while watching the rain, and observed that at about 1030pm last night the car was fully closed up. cut to 7.30 this morning, as I leave for work - the car has both windows fully down and the roof open a quick inspection of the interior reveals that, mercifully, only a small amount of water on the rear seats (enough to mop off) so it must have done this after the downpour. With hindsight, I recall last night lying in bed and hearing a sort of buzzer alarm going off a few times (not like the normal car alarm) but as I was half way to the land of nod, I thought little of it.... anyone got an idea as to why the car would retract both the roof and the windows for no apparent reason? electrical gremlins caused by unusually wet weather? IIRC there are some alarm settings that can be changed - but not surely a setting which five hours after leaving an unlocked car opens the windows and roof??? any help most appreciated,
