Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have since then changed the wheels not because of the input of others, but because I did not like them either.
Leading evidence: 'Replace wheels not' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace later if i get sick of em' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I like the look for now, and they're not welded on, so they can be changed later if I get sick of em.

Suggestion
Not only are the 19's and 20's going to be heavier, they force you to use a larger diameter tire which effectively makes your gearing taller.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Last week I bit the bullet and decided to get a set of Victor Wheels (Lemans) from Wheel Dynamics (
http://www.wheeldynamics.net)
. Initially I was looking at the 19s, but I ended up getting the 20 inch package. Car is stock height.
A few observations:
- No rubbing
- Great ride quality (the 18s with Rossos had a bumpier ride)
Just wanted to share a crappy cell-phone pic...
Nice but I would not lower it IMHO
What are the dimensions including off-set? How much do they weigh too?
Edit: I agree with Dell, bit too big for me also after I looked at them again. 19's and lowered is big enough.
Sorry, but those look so wrong on the 911. Too damn big. Look almost cartoon-like. However, with that said, the only thing that matters is your opinion and if that is something you like then you will love your P-Car. Just not my cup-o-tea.
I like the look for now, and they're not welded on, so they can be changed later if I get sick of em. I'm not planning on lowering the car.
I wasn't trying to invite a flame, really just wanted to post them so others could make an educated decision if they choose the same route.
Cheers-
Neither would putting a tribal tattoo on your arm, but hey, it's your arm! Oh, and don't take that the wrong way. At least I can remove my dubs.
Lame attempt at humor... just kidding. I like my cheesy dubs!
Yep you can change them at anytime and good to know you will not be lowering it, I'm sure you will have issues if you did.
Absolutely and informative thread for others, but honestly you cannot expect to have
only
people that are looking at 20's or those looking for a source of wheels post replies in this thread. Gaurenteeed you are going to get replies from others with opinions on 20 inch wheels on Porsche's as well as this subject has been covered in the past, you are the first one I have actually seen do it, so congratulations. So the replies from myself, Ben and Dell are going to happen, but don't take it personally, you did what you wanted to do and your satisfaction is all that counts, you are not out to satisfy anyone else.
I got similar responses when I posted pics of my car for the first time with 5-spoke chrome wheels (19's). I have since then changed the wheels not because of the input of others, but because I did not like them either.
Thanks waldrondigital, for taking the time to post the pictures. I have been looking into wheels myself so it is interesting to see that 20s will fit. I know there was some individuals on this board asking about 20s before so this should help those who may have had a question about them.
looks good man, would look even better with lowering springs.
i have the victor lemans 19's and while i love them i have 1 complaint: WEIGHT! they're soooooo heavy lol.
how's the ride comfort with the 20's? I had to back down the damping on my PSS9's with 19's because it was getting to be a bit much.
I dont think they look bad at all, I am surprised they fit. Dont let anyone tell you what you should like, I can tell you wont, but had to say it. To hell what people do, DO YOU!
Ahhh...the beauty of smooth roads...can't imagine rollin' on dubs here in nyc, wouldnt last more than a day on these streets...im swervin' in and out just to avoid monster potholes on my 19's.
Anything over 18 is bling on a 996 IMHO....
There is zero performance advantage in 19's or 20's (only disadvantages).
Then again my cup holders are bling too...
At least the cupholder is light...
When you show us your trophy, prize money check, and the groupie love photos from racing your 911 on 18s, then you got something, but until then, 19s and blanging all day ever'day we hustlin'.
Awww, come on cuzzzz. Even a street racer like you knows lighter is better.
Not only are the 19's and 20's going to be heavier, they force you to use a larger diameter tire which effectively makes your gearing taller.
It is actually, amusing reading posts from guys with 19's criticizing the guy with the dubs. Kinda a pot calling the kettle thing, if ya know what I mean (it's an old school phrase).
Don't let him out bling you!!! I'd bet you could get 21's or even some "double-dubs" on your car with some rubber band tires...............word!
How'd I do???
jk Ben, I couldn't help myself.....
you let your son borrow your skully? cool move pops lol
and you must have a really sensitive **** if you can tell the gearing diff between your rv tire 18s v. the balln 315/25/19s on my chevy.. inside peanut butter outside jelly seven days a week and seven diff chevys
Hilarious...I was actually wondering what a porsche would look like on 13's while I was reading this thread!
I'm thinking that the tires need a little whitewall to complete the ensemble...looks hot though.
Hittin' the switches with the 3-wheel motion? anyone?
Congrats....in my opinion it would look better lower....but may not fit...oh and you must have had bent rims to think 20s on WAY less rubber has a smoother ride...what you probably feel is there is no bends in the rims...yet....I think the car would look better with skirts and GT3 or TT front bumper.
IMHO 20's do look too big on a P cars still. The rears not so bad, but the fronts look out of place. Lowering the car still is needed to give it that tuck look and more importantly bring the entire car back down to the ground, way too much clearance going on here. I do see problems with rubbing if you do lower it though, but I am not sure since I have not experienced 20's on my car or anyone else's. But each to there own and I won't say it is wrong, just not what I would do.
Here's about the only Porsche with 20's that I like (the orange one that is):

Spud - Welcome to Rennlist. Nice looking ride!
I would suggest that you "harvest those pumpkins" on the front and install some clear side makrers.
BTW - What year is your car and what options does it have?
