Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Unfortunately, my wife remembers the only mod I did to the 944 (while we were dating): I installed an Alpine stereo that retracted into the dash.

The stereo mount rode on rails, with an air cylinder connected to the back, that ran off of a vacuum line that also fed the air vent controls.

ps Got it from a new dealer in CT that only handles used Porsche's: Weissach Autohaus.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Thanks. Could not have done it without the knowledge I got from this forum.
Feels great to be back in a Porsche.
Some details: 2003 C2 w/25k miles. Dark Teal. Discovered that it still has original warranty left when I got the PPI back! Cool!

ps Got it from a new dealer in CT that only handles used Porsche's: Weissach Autohaus. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer. Phil's a great guy, who turned his passion into his business.
Looks very clean. You realize that you now have to park the farthest away from any cars any time you go to a parking lot. Beware of Home Depot and Lowes. The shopping carts have a hate on for porsches.
hahaha, No Tom, stay away from those guys! Ignore their posts or it will cost you lots of money. Stuff like "harvest those pumpkins", "PSE or muffler mod" "SSK" etc etc will be posted here before long and the cost adds up quickly. Don't let them bully you in to spending money like they did with me.
BTW, nice car! looks great and I see a painted console to match the exterior. Enjoy!!

Congrats on a very nice car! I love the 996 Cab!
But honestly, didn't you read the latest news on this board? Coupes look so much better, so why did you get a Cab?
Yes, I know all about this disease called "mods". I started thinking about them way before I found this car! Unfortunately, my wife remembers the only mod I did to the 944 (while we were dating): I installed an Alpine stereo that retracted into the dash. The stereo mount rode on rails, with an air cylinder connected to the back, that ran off of a vacuum line that also fed the air vent controls. Worked well, but took forever to get "just right". So any mods I do must be simple & quick!
I'm actually researching ideas for a video recorder that would be triggered anytime motion was detected nearby. Those couple of stories on rennlist about vandalism got me thinking, and I think I can do it fairly inexpensively. I'll let everyone know if this goes anywhere.
For now, I'm trying to get better at shifting and I'm reading the manual from cover to cover. (Nicely done, but there are some errors!) Thanks for the welcome back.
