There is a guy over on the 997 board with a set for sale right now including tires that would be higher quality and look awesome.

20s are too much, the Turbo wheels you posted wont fit a 996, too wide in the rear...unless you used 4 fronts and then used spacers in the rear, but you would have 8.5" rears with very narrow tires and that would be a BAD handling car....Benjamin makes some points...if you wanna go JUST for looks, get a cheap wheel, but performance will suffer...if you want a looks and performance upgrade, then either spend some money on a nice set of BBS, OZ, Fikse, or Kinesis (yes I left out HRE)...You can also find good stuff in the used department as people sell perfectly good wheels just because they wanna change the look...they get sick of them, or turn in a leased car....

Sometimes if you're lucky, you can find good condition used sets online which would be killer.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, the car would be black, and I like the black on black theme. So my wheels will be black. I can get 19's and 20's for the same value, but my mechanic (Porsche enthusiast) told me it would be too much to go for 20's, too much weight, also meant more expensive tires, and it wouldnt flow with the body; so im thinking 19's.
I like the mesh type, black, with chromed lips, 3 inches back lip and 1.5 front staggered look is what im thinking of.
Here are my contestants. PLEASE IF SOMEONE HAS SOMETHING SIMILAR ON THEM POST PICS, thanks.

#3 also in my mind is how would the turbo wheels look

Last but not least, I always loved the Axxis Supermesh, im not sure if you guys heard of them, but they are very nice, and in spite of not coming in black, i can always get them done
I think all your contestants are low quality, heavy, cast wheels that aren't worthy of being put on a 911 to be quite honest.
Save up some more dollars and get a proper set of forged in Japan wheels from Work, Champion, OZ, BBS, whatever and do it up right in 19s. You are smart to forgo the DUBs as they are ridiculous from a performance and aesthetic standpoint.

IMO I agree with Ben on all of these. Not a fan of the black wheel either, but that is more personal taste so whatever makes you happy. The best black wheel/car set up I have seen is Newport996 and Nichlaus the photographer guy both of whom post on this board. Newport has the 997 sport designs in 19 inch finished in black. There is a guy over on the 997 board with a set for sale right now including tires that would be higher quality and look awesome. My $.02
The best black wheels I've seen on this forum are owned by WROSS and SpeedD. I love black centers when they show those bolts going all around in a pretty, perfect circle.
How about Kinesis? I've always been a fan of their wheels and am looking at some for myself, although I prefer a 5-spoke design as opposed to mesh. Also, Ruf makes some very light yet very expensive wheels but I'm not sure if that is the style you are looking for.
Im looking to spend around 2.5k for the wheels. Not that the ones pictured above are cast but are not the ones im getting. Im just using them for reference.
I would like to see something similar to the ones I marked in cars.
Something like what you have is what Im looking for, although not the OZ style, I like the continuous mesh style. But Im loving the bolts and the lip.
Nice!
Thanks.
There are other styles that are within your liking, but the key with a narrowbody is the offset, that is where I relied upon Damon because you may find a wheel you like but if the offset is not going to work, so you have to move on. If the offset is all wrong at stock height it probably won't matter, but lowering the car then rubbing may occur. With the OZ's they can custom make them as they are 3-piece, but it will cost you, probably more than your budget of $2,500 for wheels, but the OZ's are light too. But see what Damon can do for you, as you never know, he had some deals on some other wheels at the time I was looking.
I personally despise all things gold. IMHO, it's too pimpish, which means two steps worse than blingish in the LiveNupe dictionaary. I don't mean to sound too harsh or critcal, just offering my opinion.
LiveNupe...no opinions allowed OK....JK.
I think that the lip is a protective ring (plastic) and not the actual rim, I could be wrong but it looks like a small lip between the polished aluminium and gold area, plus a shadow is present....or are my eyes playing tricks with me.
Now if it is gold then I agree with you in it being pimpish.
