Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

or will the offset be incorrect? A friend (who dose not visit these fourms) is considering these for the street so he can use his stock 17's as track wheels.

POST 2Original post

not a chance. see why using the Wheel offset calculator The problem is that the Turbo's wheels are 1" wider and also have an offset of 45. One or the other would not be a problem but both make it a non fit. The stock 996 Rear is 10" wide with an offset of 65. The stock 996TT rear is 11" wide with an offset of 45. Plug those #'s in as see exactly how much further they stick out. Now go to the back of your car with a tape measure and you'll see that it puts the Turbo's rim about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch sticking outside the fender.

POST 3Original post

Here's a tire fitment calculator that might help... But I would say the answer is definately no...

POST 4Original post

Thanks guys, I was not involved but it cleared up some things for me!

POST 5Original post

No the Turbo wheels will not fir properly. THey will extend an additional 1 1/3 inches compared to his stock (current) wheels.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
