Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The only problem for me is there's a lack of used TT's other than shades of silver/grey and black, which im trying to stay away from since most of my cars have been those colors.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone else tempted to upgrade to TT's now that prices are in the 60-80k range? Been seeing a few FS on 6speed and all pretty low mileage. My cousin picked up a mint TT in the 80's under 10K miles.
No, I passed on it as the 997TT just looks that much better and performs that much better...
I am very tempted by the 997TT w/ OEM aerokit now that it's offered.
Yes, I was tempted and gave in! I have to admit, IMHO, that the 996TT looks much better than my '02 C4 did, even though the differences are small. I've had many friends say the same.
Oh yeah, the extra power is nice, too
.
I had a dream last night (true story) that I was trading in my c2 narrow body for a yellow 996TT, but it had 800,000 miles - too many! So I didnt do it, but I have been seriously considering making the trade since!!!! I found a couple in town that I am going to kick the tires this afternoon!
wow, if only everyone's pcar could see 800K miles! The only problem for me is there's a lack of used TT's other than shades of silver/grey and black, which im trying to stay away from since most of my cars have been those colors.
Gotta admit, my cousin's white TTs is insane.
I stopped in to my local dealership yesterday to grab a few things and they had a few 997TT in the show room. What caught my eye was the GT3RS................... WOW is all I have to say, it was already sold of course and so were the TTs.
LOL...I am at that crossroad right now. Have been doing my homework and researching the pro's/con's about the years. Heck If anyone has any feedback..please chime in.
TIA
That sounds insane....what sort of mileage was on that car? You said it looked "perfect"?? I've been looking for a nice tt and that would be in my price range. Would you mind giving me the name of the dealership? Do they have a website?
85k miles-- I looked over the car and couldn't find one flaw. It is a highline used car dealer off the perimiter, never looked at the name. I just drove by, saw it, stopped and drove it. It's exactly what I am looking for, just won't be in the cards for a few more months. I will get by there again after the weekend and get you the contact info.
These things can be found in the high 40s all day long. . .
edit: Here are a few online in that price range you may want to check out as well:

Hes right, there are a number in that price range. So close I can flick it, but not quite. A few more months for me too, unless one drops into a dealers lap that I know....... Thats how I scored the deal on my narrow body......
I recently purchased a 03-tt with 34k miles for $73k in Naples, FL. I also received a CPO which extends the warrantly until 09. The color is guards red with black leather interior. The car also has the sports seats with the painted back and the OEM aero kit. The car runs great and has lots of power. The only thing I am still trying to get used to is the hydraulic clutch. It is real soft and is nothing like the NA 996.
One advantage that the 996 tt has over the 997 tt, in my opinion, is that you can make insane power out of the 996 for less money than modding a 997. Just a chip up-grade on the 996, makes close to 500 hp.
Good luck in your search.

Were they highway miles
Ben: Will do over the weekend and post the pics. Thanks for your compliment on the C4S. The tt looks just exactly like the C4S, but with the air ducts on the side. Must admit that I was lucky to find this car.
