Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Moreover, I'd use the new Cayenne front end to give it a shared family look.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

33 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

- New photos in the article. http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...24/vintagecars

POST 2Original post

I havent seen many pics of this as of yet. I am still thinking that it just looks ok to me- whats eveyone else think of it?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think it is still a work in progress. When it's finshed it will look like stretched 911.

POST 4Original post

I really don't like the rear end at all. I remember seeing the original sketches last year and thought they looked beautiful. But that rear end looks like it came off a new VW Beetle.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I revise my prediction after looking at the photos again - stretched 911 with a Cayman rear end. It's funny to see a Porsche mule with such tiny pipes.... looks like a Honda exhaust.

POST 6Original post

I am not feeling it...I guess it's because I am a coupe guy and not a sedan guy, I have no kids so no need for 4 doors

POST 7Original post

So which is better, the Panamera or the Honda Accord LX?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Honda Accord LX - it's available for purchase, reliable, and looks like it wasn't put together by my 2 year old.

POST 9Original post

At the moment to me it's the Honda. I hope it's still work in progress

POST 10Original post

Anyone remember this? This was the original rendering that was making the rounds. Now this I would buy!

POST 11Original post

Damn. That is just downright ugly. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse than Bangle.

POST 12Original post

U - G - L - Y . Makes the Cayenne look good by comparison.

POST 13Original post

There are quite a few design interpretations/speculations out there for the Panamera; here are some of them. However, Porsche has not yet confirmed anything and we know that Wiedeking and team are marketing pros so I'm sure that the car will look great; independent but still allied with the modern 911. link

POST 14Original post

I don't think we can make any true judgement yet. The thing is still all covered up. I like the lines i can see, and think it shows good promise. I just hope by the time the thing actually comes out the hype and anticipation has not foundered to the point where no one cares. We have been hearing about the car for 3 years now. This is a car they are building after all not a freaking commercial airliner. Good greif. Hurry up already.

POST 16Original post

I'm amazed at how often heavy words are thrown when the topic at hand involves the aesthetics. Ugly? WHAHAHAHAHAH I hope ya'll have really hot wives/gfs or something because, dude, you guys have an extremely small margin for error! I for one am confident that it'll come out fantastic.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm sure it will look fine when it's done. What part of mule do you not understand? All mules are ugly.

POST 18Original post

Hold on a second... we drive expensive sports cars for God's sake. I assumed we were all on a model-exclusive dating program.

POST 19Original post

I don't know about that, but I know that a man with both a 911 and a 1994 BMW 325ic is a man with style and taste. CP

POST 20Original post

If they make it look like the 911 than what's the point? I'm hoping for a stand alone design

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good luck on that! Find me a manufacturer that doesn't use the same design cues across it's line. The cayenne is just an 911 stretched upwards and out.

POST 22Original post

The whole point is building off of the breadwinner.

POST 23Original post

My whole point is if they build a stretched 911 with four doors I don't think it will sell. The Cayenne does not look like a 911. I will concede the front but the rest ..... no.

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They will make it a stretched 911 and as for the Cayenne, it is exactly that. They took a 911 and stretched it into the form factor of a typical SUV. Think about it - all SUVs have the same shape. Put a 911 into Photoshop and stretch it into an SUV shape and I know what you'll see. I'll even give you instructions on how to do it. i) Take the line from the center of the door and stretch the entire car above that line upwards and the opposite side downwards. ii) Push the nose in to make the SUV stub nose. iii) push the rear end in to make it flush. Hmm. Looks like a Cayenne to me. Anyone can be a car designer!

POST 25Original post

I wasn't talking about punching it in the nose and kicking it in the butt, all I was saying if they STRETCH a 911 it wont look good. Some of the previous pics looked like that to me. Ok I'm over 40 so that's my excuse.

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, look at it from this perspective. The Panamera is said to be built as an extension of the Porsche 989 Concept: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_989 Now you can see how this was just a stretched 993 or a precursor to the early 996. I'd expect something similar to the final Panamera.

POST 31Original post

Holy mother of G0d. It looks like a Citroen. A sedan with a hatchback? Tragedy. I really hope they go back to a trunk. I, for one, will be sticking with Bimmers if that's how the Porsche saloon turns out. Moreover, I'd use the new Cayenne front end to give it a shared family look. As for the limo, just looking at it cracks me up. Then again, I remember seeing 2 white stretch Cayennes in the city last year. Travesty.

POST 32Original post

I do, but they're sometimes retail girls with a high school diploma and think they're models
