however if you could stretch it a bit you might like the exterior and interior design changes of the MY02 996's, but of course there's nothing wrong with the 99-01 years.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, I joined about a week or so ago and just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 79 SC which I love and now am in the market, finally, for a 1999-2001 996. I've been reading your forum for a while. As soon as I find the 996 that seems to fit, I'll become a "real" member of the group. I have some questions already and I'll send them along soon. Cheers - Scott
Welcome! Gotta respect a guy that joins Rennlist before post #1.
Good luck on your search for a 996. There are some nice ones that have been posted here within the last few weeks.
Welcome to the world of the 996 search! I also have an '85 which I've been looking to sell since I grabbed a 996. It is a world of difference. You will be greeted with open arms here....good move on becoming a member. It's a small price to pay for a wealth of "inside" information.
Best of luck in your search....check here a few times a day....cars pop up frequently before they hit the open market.

Good luck in your search and hope you find the car you are looking for. Take your time and look around and once you buy your new toy, please post and include pics as everyone hear never gets tired of seeing these cars.
Welcome to Rennlist and good luck with your 996 search... I do believe you can get a fantastic deal on the pre 2002 models... however if you could stretch it a bit you might like the exterior and interior design changes of the MY02 996's, but of course there's nothing wrong with the 99-01 years.
