Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Free would have been better, but if I find that this is something that helps run the drives more effeciently, then it might be worth the cost.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have just bought a Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS. I figure that it will help me plan the drives that I've been putting together recently.
The unit seems nice enough and works pretty well, but I'm trying to figure out the logistics of route planning and getting my Mac to talk to the GPS. It appears that Garmin is only just starting to figure out that Mac users love toys and have only released the most basic of Mac software.
It would be great if anyone has experience with good tools that allow you to plan routes and then upload them to a Mac. I would be eternally grateful for the education.
Thanks in advance!
There appears to be plenty of software available for the PC
The following link will take you to Garmin software at Versiontracker:

and this link captures GPS software generally:

The main software that Garmin has not yet ported over to the Mac is Mapsource, but there are plenty of other shareware and commercial tools available for route manipulation.
I just bought a Garmin as well. I went with the C340 for various reasons.
I downloaded all the software stuff for PC and you are not missing that much. The coolest feature is the POI loader that allows you to load up Points of Interests. Supposedly you should be able to find POI -files that have speed cameras, red-light cameras etc and the Garmin will then warn you when you approach the location. I've only been able to find these POI-files for Europe so far so I haven't had much use for it yet.
Unfortunately I think Garmin is slow with their Mac-compatibility. I couldn't find much that was Mac Friendly when I looked through the downloads on the website.
I love my Garmin though. I use it all the time. The lady is starting to get mildly irritated at me when I'm insisting she turn it on when we go to the grocery store (which is 3 blocks away)

Thanks for the comments!
I found some hacked ways of doing it posted on the web, but I was hoping that there were easier ways. The easiest way that I think I've found is a $20/yr subscription to Google Earth Plus. Alternatively MacGPSPro also appears to do what I'm looking for ($50). Free would have been better, but if I find that this is something that helps run the drives more effeciently, then it might be worth the cost.
As for storage space - the Nuvi has 1GB of storage and the ability to take up to 2GB on an SD card - should be more than enough.
