Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When my RMS was replaced I inspected the area and had clutch disk replaced not because there was anything wrong with it but because the labor was free at that point.
Leading evidence: 'Inspect area and had clutch disk' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Inspect area and had clutch disk' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
Doesn't matter though since if you're gonna replace the RMS, most likely it's worthwhile to replace the clutch at the same time to save the labor (assuming your car has average mileage).

I will probably visit nearest Porsche Dealer to inspect and replace RMS along with new clutch.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have 2001 C2.
I have purchased it January 2007.
I have noticed some clutch slipping last few weeks when I start from 1st Gear.
Last Saturday, I have lifted my car to install PSE (which by the way, it is so SWEET, Sound is so good) and I have noticed little oil leak (not enough to drip but definately a leak) from between where the Transmission and engine meets. I immediatlely thought this must the RMS LEAK that everyone talks about.
But can the RMS Leak cause the clutch to slip by getting oil into the clutch area?
Thanks for your advise in advance!
sambaek, although I am relatively new to Porsche's, my experience with other vehicles and an RMS leak is that yes the leak can cause the clutch to slip. This is because oil is now getting into the clutch area.
Your clutch should slip in any gear, the best test is in higher gears near as possible to the torque peak, (what, about 5000 rpm?) because it is quite obvious and hard to confuse with a little wheelspin which you might be getting in first gear.
From a slight leak like yours, most likely not. Doesn't matter though since if you're gonna replace the RMS, most likely it's worthwhile to replace the clutch at the same time to save the labor (assuming your car has average mileage).

Agree, small leak does not cause clutch to slip but knowing your clutch is slipping now is the time for a new one and have them put in the new RMS seal.
rountreed has it right. When my RMS was replaced I inspected the area and had clutch disk replaced not because there was anything wrong with it but because the labor was free at that point. There was no oil on or anywhere near the clutch. If you look at it the oil would have to pour out of the RMS to even have a chance of getting on the clutch. A lot of people with RMS leaks just put up with the slight leak and mess on gargage floor untill they wear out their clutch. Then they fix both.
With a bad enough leak the oil will work its way to the clutch disc. It's very rare but it does happen. I also waited too long and burned out my dual-mass flywheel which doubled my costs.
Thanks everyone for your advise.
Luckly, I have purchased mine CPO.
I will probably visit nearest Porsche Dealer to inspect and replace RMS along with new clutch.
